We are an urban university dedicated to providing education and research opportunities in many areas of mathematics and its applications. We offer research opportunities within our undergraduate and graduate programs, with problem-solving skills nurtured in special courses: the Mathematics Clinic and Statistics Consulting project.

Recognized as a Program of Excellence by the Colorado Commission on Higher Education, some of our faculty are affiliated with the Center for Computational Mathematics (CCM). For some, mathematics is a powerful tool to solve complex problems in science, engineering, and business. To others, it is like poetry – a thing of beauty and a joy forever. We embrace both in an environment that fosters many forms of collaboration.

Check our events, particularly the variety of seminars, which are open to the public.
